Tasha Layton Drops the Ultimate Retro Christmas Video

Tasha Layton is officially extending Christmas season, and we’re not mad about it. Tasha Layton is officially extending Christmas season, and we’re not mad about it. Her new music video for “Christmas All Year Long” feels like someone wrapped up all our nostalgic childhood specials, sprinkled a little glitter on top, with a twist of modern technology.

It’s cozy. It’s cute. It’s clever.

And it is very, very Tasha.

The video leans all the way into that classic stop-motion aesthetic, the kind that instantly transports you back to footie pajamas and hot cocoa, but this time with crisp color, quick cuts, and a shine that only modern tools can deliver. They used AI-assisted technology to enhance the handmade, storybook charm without losing any of the warmth. It’s the retro Christmas we remember… just leveled up.

From the start, Tasha made her mission clear:

• Capture the joy of Christmas
• Show that its heart beats all year long.

“I love Christmas so much! First and foremost, I wanted a song that captured the joy of the Christmas spirit! Secondly, I wanted to create a playful way of communicating that the heart of Christmas goes far beyond just December.”

That joy comes through in every frame. It’s sweet without being sugary, nostalgic without being cliché, and playful enough to become a classic for kids 1 to 92.

Director Max Hsu brings the vision to life, shepherding the stop-motion-inspired universe with BEC Recordings behind the release. On the song side, credits list Keith Everette Smith as producer and Sean Moffitt as mix engineer, which explains why the audio feels vintage-lush yet modern enough for a 2025 Christmas playlist.

It’s a dream team for a song that needed to sparkle visually and musically.

If you love classic holiday specials but also appreciate when an artist embraces technology in a thoughtful way, this video hits that sweet spot. Tasha Layton created  little snow-globe-like universe, infused it with heart, and delivered a Christmas hug disguised as a music video.

It’s festive.

It’s modern.

It’s nostalgic.

It’s Tasha, all year long.
